Re: FOTW; Greatest Lego Discout Ever ?

I haven't got the best, but since the conversation came up - I just pick up a Robotics Discovery set for $70 CDN (taxes incl). Not bad considering that it retails for $250 inc taxes...   Bogo at K-mart

I don't think anyone has mentioned it yet. I was at the K-mart in Concord NC today and they were having another Buy one get one 50% off sale on all Lego. It ends 01-01-2001, and I don't know if any other K-mart stores are having the sale. Not much (...) (24 years ago, 31-Dec-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

FAO Schwartz display in Forum Shops (Vegas)

Hi all, I just got back from a sweet week in Las Vegas. I had a great time with my family and Chris.   technic finds

Today I found the Stormtrooper and C3P0 technic as well as the BOSS Roborider. Picked up the BOSS at Wal-Mart for $19.82 (what is with Wally World's prices?). They had the 'trooper and 3P0 also, but I couldn't pay $34.99 and $29.99 respectively. (...) (24 years ago, 30-Dec-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

(...) Ha! I have the greatest discount story of all :-)! I was shopping at TRU two years ago, looking for some Outback sets. Hidden behind some other small sets, I found an 6538 Rebel Roadster.   Not looking good for eToys...

Re: FOTW; Greatest Lego Discout Ever ?

I got <set:3038 Spider Slayer> for $19.98 (Canada, about $14 US) but it was opened. Oh well, seems like all of the parts were there. The fact that the motor hadn't been stolen seems like a big hint that nothing was. It's a pretty good cheap (...) (24 years ago, 30-Dec-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

FOTW; Greatest Lego Discout Ever ?

Ok...It really isn't a find of the week, but while shopping all the K-Marts in Houston, I ran across two really interesting items. One was a 5918 Scorpion Tracker for $.25. Not the greatest of sets, but at 93.75% off, a really good deal. After (...) (24 years ago, 30-Dec-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: New Life on Mars Multi-pack

There has been a fair amount of discussion about these sets in the year/2001 newsgroup. I think there might be some links to some scans too. (24 years ago, 29-Dec-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Confirming that Toy 'R Us had a whole new shipment of these.   Re: When Does Toys-R-Us set up their clearance tables?

My TRU (in Downers Grove, IL) has a table like that up all the time. Last weekend I noticed they had 4 of the new 7316 Life on Mars sets marked down to 39.99 and they were barely beat up at all. I've picked up a few sets this way; most were missing (...) (24 years ago, 29-Dec-00, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Anyone willing to pick up a complete set of UK Slizers, and Roboriders.
