Re: 30% off sale on selected LEGO at eToys

I've been thinking it over, and I think Lugnet is important. If eBates statements let me detect it, and Todd will accept it, I'll give half the revenue I get from others naming me as their referral to Lugnet. Afer all, it would be due to Lugnet that (...)   eBates / online rebates

(...) WOW! Larry, this site is amazing! At first, I was skeptical, and even after a couple hours I was still skeptical that they'd be able to stick around for anything past a couple months even with advertising dollars. But then, during a walk up to (...) (25 years ago, 9-May-99, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.market.theory)

Re: 30% off sale on selected LEGO at eToys

(...) ebates.com is a new service which claims to give rebates on purchases, including a 25% rebate on etoys purchases. I joined. I have no idea if it works or not but I thought it was worth a shot. See www.ebates.com for details. if you give my (...) (25 years ago, 9-May-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  UK Sale

Beattie's, a chain in the UK, is having a big, warehouse clearance sale. Regretably, of normal Lego, only that which has been on sale recently is on sale. (Explorien Starship at 20, the black, FOS set at 15, and an Aquazone or raider or whatever (...) (25 years ago, 8-May-99, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: can now buy LEGO SCALA sets online

I was very surprised to see this on the eToys site this morning. Two other useful bits: There's a Scala link on the eToys starting page! So this isn't just some toy line they have available, but are burying somewhere. They are (for however long) (...) (25 years ago, 6-May-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: May 3, 12:01 madness

I think the pod racers is one of the few that is definitely worth it. At $.10/pc with tons of new parts in orange and green, and purple grille tiles, I am hoping to buy a few at 20% off or better to split up for a sale/auction. (...) (25 years ago, 6-May-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Wal-mart sale

I checked Monday, and the Mt View Walmart has ZERO, ZIP, NADA Star Wars Lego at all (and the Mt View Target is almost bare). I ended up buying all of mine at the Sunnyvale TRU and Milpitas Target. (...) (25 years ago, 6-May-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Best-lock found.

Hey, Larry--Detroiter, World Traveler: (...) That's actually one heck of a Target. Things get "lost" there--clearance items forgotten, I found a lot of 4126 (#?) red freestyle buckets for three bucks a pop there. Also, that's where I found an (...) I can hear Garrison now. "It's been a quiet week in Lake Wobegon. However, there were rumors going around the Lutheran Church potluck that Pastor Inkfist drove into St. Cloud to snap up some SW Lego sets at the midnight sale at TRU. And he would (...)   Re: US S@H Specials May 3 - May 9, 1999

(...) I think we're officially in the "mostly sucky" stage for S@H specials already. :/ I doubt I'll see another one worth grabbing until next January. Well, if they run 6097 at $44 again I'll grab a few more, but I assume they sold out of them. (25 years ago, 4-May-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  TRU Kudos!

Never thought I'd be posting with THAT subject line, but here goes. I was at a TRU (just southwest of the MoA, on the 494 south service road at the Penn Ave. exit) for the midnight thing.   Re: Wal-mart sale/3033

(...) No, I can't. If I had meant eBay sellers in general (I belong to that group, and you do too, I think) I would have said eBay sellers. I meant (and still do) eBay scalpers. I'd say after last night it is painfully obvious that a very LARGE (...) (25 years ago, 4-May-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Wal-mart sale/3033

(...) You know, I get tired of seeing eBay sellers generally referred to as scalpers. Can't you just say eBay sellers? From what I've seen, very few buckets are sold whole (the obvious exceptions being the halloween bucket and occasional silver (...) (25 years ago, 3-May-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: eToys the cheapest way to buy Lego?

(...) Well, the cheapest seems to be Wal-Mart, in many cases. They often sell a few percent below retail, essentially covering the sales tax and there's no shipping. Still, for convenience, eToys is quite nice and I use it on occasion. I just (...) (25 years ago, 3-May-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)
