Re: Which to buy on sale? 7151 for $19.99 or 7130 for $12.99?

(...) Hrmmm.... now you're really tempting me. Especially if I know that there will be a market for the parts in the set that I don't want... (25 years ago, 21-Nov-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Which to buy on sale? 7151 for $19.99 or 7130 for $12.99?

I think I read somewhere that it was official, that for the next printing they were going to rename it the "Grey Plates Service Pack". (I bought two at nearly full retail, just for the parts... never built the Finiltraitor.) :?) bishop Troy (...) (25 years ago, 21-Nov-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Light Saber Duel on sale at Toysrus.com

(...) Well, the reasons don't matter much to me. I'm getting 50-70% off on the sets I'm buying, and that's all that matters. :) Now I'm trying to decide if I want to do an order of 2 Pod Race sets for a final total of around $79 or if I want to get (...)   Re: Light Saber Duel on sale at Toysrus.com

I think it is more like they want to clear out 1999 SW sets to make room in the warehouses for 2000 SW sets ;-) (...) (25 years ago, 21-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Light Saber Duel on sale at Toysrus.com

COT: Can anyone help me get some Humongous games?

Completely off topic: I want to get some Humongous Entertaniment CDROM games for my kids at Christmas. Sadly, they are not distributed in the UK. I can order them at www.humongous.com but would have to end up paying $30 DHL shipping AND taxes, duty (...) (25 years ago, 21-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Which to buy on sale? 7151 for $19.99 or 7130 for $12.99?

(...) The Sith Infiltrator has an amazing amount of gray plates. Unless you really need the 12x6 "wings" from the snowspeeder, I'd stick with the infiltrator. Troy (25 years ago, 21-Nov-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.market.shopping)

Which to buy on sale? 7151 for $19.99 or 7130 for $12.99?

Well, I have to admit I don't own either of these sets, and I'm mainly thinking about buying them for parts, preferably gray plates and/or bricks. Given that, which do you think would be a better deal - the Infiltrator for $19.99 or the Snowspeeder (...) (25 years ago, 21-Nov-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.market.shopping)

Target and the $99 train set

I heard a rumor, then I saw an odd post here earlier this evening, so I called a few Target stores. One of them was willing to find the Sunday newspaper insert and confirm it for me.   Zany-Brainy Scratch Off Sale

Yesterday and today Zany-Brainy had a sale where if you had a card that they sent out in the mail, you could receive anywhere from 10%-50% off your total purchase. They had a scratch off field kind of like a lottery ticket. According to the mailer, (...) (25 years ago, 21-Nov-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Prices of New Star Wars LEGO

Actually, they are telling the truth. As sad as that is... I worked at TRU for a couple of Christmas' back in 1990 and 1991. All of the inventory routing and control is done at the distribution center. The folks at the stores are basically blind. (...) (25 years ago, 21-Nov-99, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.market.shopping)
