Re: Announcement: New jambalya...who wants it?

Well.. I'm more castle oriented.. though I do a use stuff from all themes in some ways... so all in all I'd have to say nothing in particular.. unless it's definately something from my want's list :) which I'd really like!! If anyone is tossing in (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jul-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

Which junk mail is more evil? (Was: Addresses)

(...) Truly a sign of the times. I'm much, much more concerned about throwing away junk snail mail -- and the paper that goes into that waste -- than I am about someone stealing Internet bandwidth and wasting my time. Plus, I'm not too keen about (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jul-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya, lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: New group...moving forward?

(...) I should clarify that bit too -- by "let go" I mean not staying closely involved with the evolving rules and day-to-day interactions. Since it's got so much potential to evolve into many different types of packages and rule-sets, I'd rather (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jul-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

(...) LOL! Didn't think of it that way -- shouldda moved that one to a clear ZipLoc, eh? :-) It's just a red shoppping bag that I happened to keep all the DUPLO stuff in over the years. --Todd (25 years ago, 20-Jul-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Pictures!

Here are some mix pix! In some ways, there is a bit too much rhyme and reason to the bagging; but that's just how it turned out over the past few years. Some sorting was required while building the sets that the mixes originated from. Some of these (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jul-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: Addresses

(...) Yeah, those are they're all taken, but jeez: not only is a dedicated domain overkill for something like this, it's a step backwards (fragmentation rather than aggregation). (...) Since it has the same site-wide integration potential as (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jul-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: New group...moving forward?

(...) I ought to clarify that a bit -- I'm not offering to write anything to handle this _yet_. I think later it will all fit in nicely with the rest of the infrastructure. (I just can't make it a priority anytime relatively soon.) Having multiple (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jul-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

For that matter, Doug, is there anything you're after? I'm going to dump in a dozen minifigs, unless there are lots in already...maybe some 1x4s And Doug, I'll need your address, too... Paul Sinasohn (25 years ago, 20-Jul-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

  Re: Addresses

I agree that it's not a critical concern for most people. The main advantage is a smooth and reliable system to avoid the redundant and inefficient "someone send me an address" posts. Of course, whenever you implement a system that holds a users (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jul-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)
