  Hi,
There were these little kits produced for Italy about 25 years ago called
Minitalia kits.  They were made by Lego and had 2 digit numbers (14, 15,
etc).  Does anybody have pictures of these?  Does anybody have these for
sale?  These were different Italian buildings and vehicles.  I suppose there
were half a dozen different kits.  These are high on my wish list.

I have two sets of Minitalia and will show some scans on my homepage as soon as
possible (http://www.fortunecity.de/anlagen/nebel/27/legoindx.htm).

I called them the "x-bricks" because they have a X instead of an O in the
brick; because of this, they don't fit that well together like O-bricks
(everytime a bit loose).

A friend of mine in Germany sent me 3 red 2x4 bricks and a window from the
Minitalia line.  The bricks look sort of like regular LEGO (with different studs),
but the window really stunned me.  It was the 1x6x3 size (the largest of the
classic LEGO sizes), but had 13 window panes, instead of 1.  It had one large
window in the middle, with 6 smaller windows one each side (sort of a "4 over 4"
type early American window, but there are only 6 and not 8 panes on each side), and
didn't contain glass (upon closer inspection, I didn't see any old glue or holes to
handle clear plastic glass).  I am going to use this unique window in one of my
LEGO buildings.  The window looks like something out of a Norman Rockwell
painting.  I would love to get more of these windows, and any other interesting
Minitalia type windows.

Anyone who wants to see a Minitalia set and the bricks can look at my webpage at: (URL) think there is one window with 13 panes like Gary Istok was describing. (25 years ago, 22-Dec-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)
