Gray cranes from 1782 Discovery Station —Todd Lehman
If someone had one or more of the cranes for sale from the 1782 Discovery Station set, (URL) you want to buy them as individual elements (broken all the way down to the bare bones) or as just the critical crane parts, or as the whole entire gray (...)         Re: Gray cranes from 1782 Discovery Station —Michael Ulring
(...) I smell the faint scent of Auczilla IX in the air... I would want the critical crane parts as one lot - I think there are four parts: two sides, the support beam, and the top horizontal piece. Those four parts in one lot would make the most (...)          Re: Gray cranes from 1782 Discovery Station —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Since I scored 4 of these, the question is purely hypothetical, I am crane-flush... (1) (...) Agreed. I would call the "support beam" the "link". Note that this design is fairly standard, it's used in 4565 (in grey) and in 6543 (in red). All 4 (...) (26 years ago, 23-Nov-98, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Gray cranes from 1782 Discovery Station —Barry McFarland
(...) Me, I'm still hoping to get one 2X12 grey plate. Wondering if Larry's appetite from grey plates has been satisfied?? ;^! Barry (26 years ago, 25-Nov-98, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Gray cranes from 1782 Discovery Station —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Never. I just used up all I have in CO, just about, on my old time blue/white station (1)... and I need more for my central city station project. 1 - pictures coming soon, they are on a borrowed camera as we speak, along with all my other (...)           Re: Gray cranes from 1782 Discovery Station —Steve Bliss
(...) Drat! I'll have to start saving now. That's assuming that Todd is going to offer these in AucZILLA. Which may be too risky an assumption to make. BTW: if anyone finds more of #1782, the Divers' Discovery Station, for cheap (they were at CostCo (...) (26 years ago, 25-Nov-98, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Gray cranes from 1782 Discovery Station —Larry Pieniazek
(...) I cleaned out the Costco by me (1)... there's another one somewhere in Denver. 1 - and Steve got one set out of the deal. what a guy I am... I kept all the rest. Taya gets one, and I get 4 for my parts bin. (26 years ago, 25-Nov-98, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Gray cranes from 1782 Discovery Station —Steve Bliss
(...) And many thanks to you for being willing to part with one set for me. I borrowed it from David for a week (we gave him the set for his birthday).          Re: Gray cranes from 1782 Discovery Station —Robert Farver
(...) I'd have to agree here. I have broken up 3 1782s myself and this is how I plan to sell or auction those particular pieces (if I ever get around to it).         Re: Gray cranes from 1782 Discovery Station —Dave Jost
Hello I my mind pieces don't make sense, but one just may be able to find use for the whole thing. One may also find the string and such handy and I think should be included. Regards Dave Todd Lehman wrote in message (...) (26 years ago, 23-Nov-98, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Gray cranes from 1782 Discovery Station —Steve Bliss
(...) Either put the four main parts into a lot, or make separate lots of: 1) the axle with end-loops, 2) the pair of crane legs, and 3) the crane head. Anything else should be separate.          Re: Gray cranes from 1782 Discovery Station —Barry McFarland
(...) Agree. I got one at COSTCO, but would always like more cranes (find this statement true of almost anything worth having, except for the COSTCO reference of course). Maybe a character flaw? Barry (26 years ago, 26-Nov-98, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: Gray cranes from 1782 Discovery Station —Patrick Sayre-Little
(...) Assuming you've got more than one set you're breaking up (which is usually the case), why not have lots of varying degrees of completeness?
