BT1 Fever (was Re: WTB/WTTF: Blacktron 1) —Richard Marchetti
So Josh catches the fever, eh? I remember when it happened to me. It was approx. 2-3 years ago, I had just built this: (URL) and I was telling Craigo Hamilton about it when he chimes in with how it sounds like I had built the castle/mad max (...)         Re: BT1 Fever (was Re: WTB/WTTF: Blacktron 1) —Matt Hein
(...) My addiction to Blacktron started the day I found Lugnet, and from then on, I never got over it. Other themes pale in comparison to it, except some of the classic space sets, which I declare to be some of the best designs of all time. My (...) (23 years ago, 17-Apr-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: BT1 Fever (was Re: WTB/WTTF: Blacktron 1) —Mike Petrucelli
Yes, Blacktron Rules! [snip] (...) As much as I want more trans-yellow hoses I doubt TLC will make them. For starters the picture on the voting page shows the 'yellow with black ends' hoses. (Yes I made a not of that.) The other point is we have (...) (23 years ago, 18-Apr-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: BT1 Fever (was Re: WTB/WTTF: Blacktron 1) —Josh Opotzner
(...) Hmm...did Blacktron have trans yellow hoses in the first place? While the Battrax on the voting page had yellow with black ends, so does the Lugnet guide entry for the original set. I don't see how this would indicate that they don't want to (...) (23 years ago, 19-Apr-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: BT1 Fever (was Re: WTB/WTTF: Blacktron 1) —Richard Marchetti
(...) I think this is one of those Europe v U.S. things, and Blacktron fell into the middle with this, even if Renegade was supposedly a U.S. only set. I think the way it works is that you got regular solid yellow hoses with black ends (a single (...) (23 years ago, 19-Apr-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: BT1 Fever (was Re: WTB/WTTF: Blacktron 1) —Kyle Keppler
I have 2 MIB's and I'm pretty sure both are the European version, and they both came with solid yellow hoses. Allthough they were not sealed, the instructions do not show trans hoses. (...) (23 years ago, 19-Apr-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: BT1 Fever (was Re: WTB/WTTF: Blacktron 1) —Josh Opotzner
(...) Ah, I see. Thanks. (...) A MISB MIB? Thats pretty cool to hear exist today-but I can't help but feel that that's kinda a waste. I can't keep MISB sets...one time I kept a set MISB, and I had to put it in a hard to get and obscure place, and (...) (23 years ago, 19-Apr-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: BT1 Fever (was Re: WTB/WTTF: Blacktron 1) —Richard Marchetti
(...) Just to clarify, I don't actually keep any sets intentionally in MISB condition, it's just that I may not have a use for every element in the set yet. Most of the time, I sort up front and just throw the packaging away. I have made an (...) (23 years ago, 19-Apr-02, to lugnet.space)

Re: BT1 Fever (was Re: WTB/WTTF: Blacktron 1) —Josh Opotzner
(...) Oh, good points. I figured by MISB you meant *sealed* box, but I can understand using a different acronym than MIB/Mint in Box when we are talking about MIB/Message Intercept Bases :) If you are really thinking about scanning/tossing them out (...)    (...) Hey Richard, been awhile :) (...) Yup, you were a castle guy alright ;) . Hrm...Blacktron can do that to you... (...) Heh, yup. The Blacktron stuff is just plain fun. It's easy, lighthearted building. The sets are good enough to be awesome (...) (23 years ago, 19-Apr-02, to lugnet.space)
