Yup, you were a castle guy alright ;) . Hrm...Blacktron can do that to you...

Heh, yup. The Blacktron stuff is just plain fun. It's easy, lighthearted
building. The sets are good enough to be awesome models, but still not
perfect and inspiration for plenty of other stuff. The alternate models
help too :) Myself I'm looking at trying to acquire one of each set to keep
seperate and unchanged, and then far more stuff to build with :) (Obviously
it will be a help if the Battrax wins. I know it's not the best Legend
choice, but it's Blacktron. Hence, vote. Period). I wish that SOME theme
used trans yellow in the years since BT1s demise so we'd have some new trans
yellow parts (I wish we had the octagon canopy piece; BTIIish pods). And it
is still one of my favorite mini-fig torsos, if not the favorite.

Ah, but there has been patience. When I began going online about 4-5 years
ago, Lego was my first area of interest, and the then-12-year-old-kids eyes
were moistened at the pics of the earlier space sets. Auction prices were
way out of my league and I'd watch as all the meanie AFOLs bought up
everything :) . Recently, with the Legend voting, something clicked and all
of a sudden I knew it was time to start a BT1 collection. The Battrax could
only be a supplement to a larger collection (hey, I can't live on Battrax's)
and if the Battrax didn't win...I'd be in a sour mood for some BT anyway. I
think I have been patient, and have reaped the benifits; complete Alienators
for $10. A Message Intercept Base went on Ebay about a week ago for $45 (I
missed it, dagnabbit!). Even if the sets get reissued, you can't lose with
those prices. Finally I am old enough to have a sliver of money in the
first place, and the prices have gone down. And I *think* it was Lar who
said that theres a money value to time and vice versa recently.
