(...) Before I post a new message, I do a quick search to see if a discussion is already open, but some people don't do that. What is correct, and does it matter? (23 years ago, 13-Mar-01, to lugnet.market.auction)

(...) Ok - your point? I did that. And yes, I saw the other thread - so what? Can I not start a new thread? Did I offend you, or anybody by starting a new thread?    (...) That's the highest I've ever seen a single set go for. But why? It's not even that nice of a set. It's pretty rare though.       I think I gonna have to make a Kryptonite case for this bad boy! No I don't plan on opening it. If I wanted to build it, I'd just put my 6880 and 6929 together. Besides, as soon as I open it, the value drops like crazy. (...) (23 years ago, 14-Mar-01, to lugnet.market.auction)

I'll examine the box when I get it. The box was in such nice shape that it'll be very obvious if it was ever opened and re-sealed. From what the seller told me, this set has been in the window of the toy museum for a very long time. John (...) (23 years ago, 14-Mar-01, to lugnet.market.auction)
