I hope I've made it clear that I find this desire to stick to what
you've said admirable.  I don't agree with the specific application of
it in this case, but a man (or woman) who sticks by his (her) word is
okay in my book.

Just an add'l note - maybe the exclusive policy was not a good idea - I don't know. It apparently doesn't apply too well to Lego, but I still think it would be helpful in many other situations.
