Bricks @ Guarded Inn Beta-Testers Sought —Mike Stanley
Well, it isn't perfect yet, and it will probably never be pretty, but it's up. And it's free. I've told everyone I'd try to get an auction site going that is similar to my JABA site for a long time now, and it's finally up. Here's the URL: (URL) (...)      Looks like it will be cool. Also looks *very* much like EBAY. Is it just the particular program that is used to make it?? Ryan (...) (25 years ago, 16-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: Bricks @ Guarded Inn Beta-Testers Sought —Mike Stanley
(...) Hrmmm... kinda. I added a couple of EveryAuction add-ons that are designed to make it look more like eBay. I personally don't think eBay looks all that great, but it is what a LOT of people are used to, so I guess it makes sense to make it (...) (25 years ago, 16-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: Bricks @ Guarded Inn Beta-Testers Sought —Christian Holtje
(...) I hope this helps you; It looks like bidding is off, if I understand bidding correctly. Someone, on your test bid, named ladym (Mookie?) bid something like $4000. Current bid is at $42.80. I bid $125.05. I lose the proxy bidding war, but the (...) (25 years ago, 16-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

(...) Hrmmm... I'll check into that. I seem to remember the proxy bidding stuff being a little funky before. (...) Well, it doesn't say "the increment is a quarter (or whatever it is)" but it does tell you the least amount you can bid, which is the (...) (25 years ago, 16-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: Bricks @ Guarded Inn Beta-Testers Sought —Doug Finney
(...) Actually, that's the way proxy bidding should work, IMO. Equal bids go to the earliest bidder so the first bidder should only have to meet, not beat, a challenger in a proxy war. Doug (25 years ago, 16-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: Bricks @ Guarded Inn Beta-Testers Sought —Mike Stanley
(...) Yes! Cool, less work to do on that, more time to spend on something else. (25 years ago, 16-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: Bricks @ Guarded Inn Beta-Testers Sought —Christian Holtje
(...) Hmmmm....well, then I won't mention that I got it to do it the other way, too. I think it has to do with what the bid is, perhaps it is legit. I'll take a look at it again. Ciao! (25 years ago, 16-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: Bricks @ Guarded Inn Beta-Testers Sought —Mike Stanley
(...) If you do find a legitimate problem please let me know. I definitely want things to work right, and if I find errors that I can fix now, before people really start using it, it'll be quite a bit easier to take care of than after tons of (...)           6037 Witch's Windship —Christian Holtje
I'm really selling this, mint/near-mint in box. If the system shows any glitches, I might pull it and offer it elsewhere or offer it again after the problems are fixed. (URL) it out! Mike: How's that? A real auction! Ciao! (25 years ago, 16-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: 6037 Witch's Windship —Larry Pieniazek
One small nit, you have a direct image link to Lugnet so you need to grab that image and host it elsewhere. WE all see a frowny. (...) "God made the integers. All else is the work of man."           Re: 6037 Witch's Windship —Mike Stanley
(...) Yup. I'll have to include something in the item preview page about not setting up direct links to Lugnet. It should have showed as a frowny on the preview page as well. I know it did for me when I did one by mistake as a test recently. (25 years ago, 16-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: 6037 Witch's Windship —Mike Stanley
(...) Included a blurb on the posting page. If that doesn't work (I know this was an honest mistake - I'll see how many do it after 20 or so) I'll add it to the preview page as well. (25 years ago, 17-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: 6037 Witch's Windship —Christian Holtje
(...) Wasn't aware it was an issue or a problem. Assumed it was like putting a link in for the set search. Won't do it again. Regarding the quote (Yeah, I'm a know-it-all), Leopold Kronecker (1823-1891): (URL) don't agree with the quote, either. (...) (25 years ago, 16-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: Bricks @ Guarded Inn Beta-Testers Sought —Larry Pieniazek
OK, I posted an auction. Feel free to bid but it's not for real (there is a reserve price, in the dollars, for a single 1x2 brick). However I don't see it when I refresh the "new list"... is there a lag on that? Also I had a deuce of a time getting (...) (25 years ago, 16-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: Bricks @ Guarded Inn Beta-Testers Sought —Christian Holtje
(...) I ran across that too. I'm not sure who, but either it or I put a dollar sign in one of the BID fields (would be nice if it said which bid fields). Also, I tried it without a decimal (00) and it didn't like that either. Ciao! (25 years ago, 16-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

Re: Bricks @ Guarded Inn Beta-Testers Sought —Larry Pieniazek
Also, when you post a lot your conf says "as confirmation of your bid" instead of "your lot" There is a lot of funkyness with the fonts, that's for sure, the same line of menu options is different font styles in different places.         Re: Bricks @ Guarded Inn Beta-Testers Sought —Mike Stanley
