(...) Well, by the same token, Princess Leia's used to go for what? Like $50+ bucks? Which was back when she was only ever available in the original Millenium Falcon. And she wasn't even chrome-plated! But with all the hype about there only being (...) (19 years ago, 16-Aug-07, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.market.appraisal)

(...) If you figure that gold is selling at about $660 a troy ounce, and I'd say that it would take at least 2 troy ounces to make a minifig and probably more; that would put a solid gold minifig well above $1000.00, and probably closer to $2000.00. (...) We have two C3PO figs from the 1000steine lottery (my brother and I were lucky), but indeed it is extreme to pay 200$ for it. On the other hand the 7750 trains are also sold voor $350+ (19 years ago, 16-Aug-07, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.market.appraisal)

Seriously Folks, I was just curious to see if anyone had received an "Exclusive Gold Chrome C3PO" in any of their Star Wars sets and if they might be selling them on eBay. So I checked. According to my out of date peeron.com inventory, I have over 100 sets (40,000 parts), probably almost half of which are MIB. My sets tend toward the more detailed, larger technic sets. This doesn't include many parts bags (I bought 10 or more of (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jan-06, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

Hi Suz, (...) From the main eBay home page, click on "Buy", then "Advanced Search" (right under the search box) on the next screen. Then on the advanced search screen, enter your keywords and click the "Completed Listings only". Unfortunately, you (...) (21 years ago, 25-Jul-05, to lugnet.market.appraisal, FTX)

I heard that there was recently a white minifig hair piece (female, pigtails) in auction. I think it was on eBay. Does anyone know how much it went for? How can I look up stuff like past auction results? -Suz (21 years ago, 24-Jul-05, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

(...) Rachel, Do they all say "LEGO" on the studs? Most of the 1949-56 Lego does not, 1957-present does. The 1x6 and 1x8 beams without posts (as they are known versus the tubes on the 2x bricks) were made that way until 1964 (until 1970 in some (...) (21 years ago, 21-Nov-04, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

Thanks Gary, I also have 1x4, 1x6, and 1x8, without cylinders. The colour of the plastic is slightly different too. Perhaps the men go with the lego and it's all 1978?
