Re: How many bricks are there in the average gallon container?

(...) Sure. Fill a 1 gallon pail (ice cream bucket) with a random assortment of bricks. Count the bricks. Multiply by 280. ...or were you hoping someone had already done the first two steps for you? ;) James (23 years ago, 7-Jun-01, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Re: Help Needed

David, please accept (on behalf of all of us) my condolences on your loss. At least your family is all safe?? Your best bet for values come from several sources: www.brickbay.com, and the various stores therein. www.ebay.com - search both open AND (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jun-01, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

How many bricks are there in the average gallon container?

Hey Y'all: I now know that I have something in excess of 280 gallons of mostly Lego bricks. Is there any way to extrapolate from that an approximation of the number of bricks I am owning? Just curious... -- Hop-Frog (23 years ago, 7-Jun-01, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Help Needed

Greeting and Salutations! May I first say what a great honour and relief it is to find more "Lego Maniacs" out there like me. Although do I (Or more Did I) have nearly the "Collections" of some of your members. I find it very reliving to now be able (...) (23 years ago, 7-Jun-01, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

Re: How much is a 6990 selling for?

(...) What if I have the box, and everything is there? If most of the pieces are in mint to near mint condition. What would be a good asking price on lugnet, becuase, I don't want it to go to some collector, who does not enjoy it, I want a lego fan (...) (23 years ago, 29-May-01, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

Re: How much is a 6990 selling for?

I wouldn't sell it for less than $150, although you could get more or less on ebay. John (...) (23 years ago, 29-May-01, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

How much is a 6990 selling for?

How much is a 6990 futuron monorail selling for? I have one, and I want to sell it, but I don't know how much I will get. can someone help me, so I don't get ripped off, or rip someone else off. Thanks, Michael (23 years ago, 29-May-01, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Re: Selling me collection

(...) My impression is that 99% or more of sets sell for more as parts lots. Therefore, if your collection is already sorted, you have already done one of the most labor intensive parts of selling (you do still need to split the parts into lots and (...)   Re: Black Castle Feathers

(...) I have very few black feathers. I guess those red feathers will fall victim to paint soon... I hate to modify other elements when the element and color actually exists within Lego's released elements, but then this is a case of scarcity (...)   Re: Black Castle Feathers

(...) Actually, I disagree about the order of white and yellow. White feathers appeared in later sets (RK) and so I think they would be easier to find. I personally have only very few yellow or blue feathers and tons of white ones, with red being (...) (23 years ago, 28-May-01, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Re: Black Castle Feathers

(...) After your first inquiry in .b-s-t yesterday, I got curious about just how common the Black feather is. It turns out that I only have TWO Black feather wheels versus a few dozen of Yellow and Red. I figure that Black is the least common, (...) (23 years ago, 27-May-01, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Black Castle Feathers

Hey Y'all: What is the value of a single feather wheel in black? The item I am asking about looks like this: (URL) I would also be interested in the value of only the three pointed feather, the largest one on the wheel, if it were loose. I am trying (...)   Re: Selling me collection

Hi Iain! I'm no expert, but I think this depends on two factors. Basically, I think the appropriate question is: Do you want to maximize profit, or to get rid of the collection ASAP? To maximize profit, I think (again, I am no expert), that selling (...) (23 years ago, 22-May-01, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Selling me collection

Hi, I'm having to sell off most of my old Lego collection, as we're moving to a smaller house. However, I'm not sure what the best way to sell it would be. Should I built up as many models as possible, and sell them individually, or would it be (...) (23 years ago, 22-May-01, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  A humongous collection

Due to financial problems I may have to depart of my collection and was wondering if anyone knew what E-bay or here would run for the such.   Re: The Value of 1793 Space Station Zenon

(...) So you did, and I do hope it was worth the wait. I un-archived my old mail and found that I'd sold four of them on ebay since 1999, with prices as follows: Jul 1999 - $45.75 Dec 1999 - $68.80 Jun 2000 - $57.33 ($85 Cdn) Jun 2000 - $112.50! I (...)   Re: Brickbay idea? (Re: Cypress Trees)

(...) I believe that there are a few caveats about the BrickBay Price Guide... o All prices shown are based on orders booked, not necessarily orders completed. It is my belief that orders cancelled do not get backed out of the price guide. o Average (...)
