(...) Ok, Larin has management permission for the afternoon of 8/21. The location is United Cerebral Palsy, 9027 Northgate Blvd. Suite 100, behind the Dell Factory Outlet on US183. I'll throw up a map page on my website when it gets closer to the (...) (27 years ago, 8-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.us.tx.aus)

(...) Cool. If that doesn't work out I can offer my house in NW Austin (near the intersection of 183 and Spicewood Springs) for the gathering, complete with 2 net-connected PCs (1 Linux, 1 Windows/Linux) and a Lego room (although most of the floor (...)   Austin meet - 8/21

Hi, The person who has offered to host a gathering is out of town on 8/14. He suggested 8/21 instead. Any problems with that? It gives me a little time to actually build something :^), and we can work out some more specifics if necessary. -Tim (27 years ago, 4-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.us.tx.aus)

  Re: Austin meet - 8/14?

(...) I don't have a Mindstorms creation currently built, but I have been wanting to make a bipedal walker that could turn (and judging from lugnet.robotics I'm not the only one), this would give me a reason to work on it over the next two weeks.   Re: Austin meet - 8/14?

(...) Anything you'd like. What would *you* like to do? I just threw out MS as a "hot topic". If you have a train layout, or a castle to show off, or photos of your since-disassembled models, that'd be fine, too. If it was general, would you attend (...)   Austin meet - 8/14?

Hi, Based on recent emails I've received, there seems to be interest in a Lego gathering. I know of one person willing to set up some space to get together, with access to a PC for Mindstorms-type stuff. I could also bring an old Mac for NQC coding. (...)   SW (and other LEGO) in Temple, Killeen

First, I will say that the TRU in Killeen has the best selection of LEGO of any TRU I have been to (in fact, of any store I have been to). I often go there just to see what they have. They have sets from 2-3 years ago that most other places have (...) (27 years ago, 2-Jun-99, to lugnet.loc.us.tx.aus)

Anyone else run out and buy all of the new Episode 1 Star Wars sets the day they were released? :-) I didn't go at midnight though, I waited until about 3pm and bought them all at Wal-Mart.   X-Wing Fighter at SW TRU

Hey, The south Austin TRU has 7-8 copies of the X-Wing Fighter in stock, in with the "impulse"/hot buys near the entrance (not in the regular Lego section). In case anyone's looking for them, there they are... -Tim (27 years ago, 29-Apr-99, to lugnet.loc.us.tx.aus)

(...) K-Mart at Parmer and Mo-Pac actually had some of each set and a whole lot of X-Wings (way up top shelf). Some were mixed in with other sets and some were on an end cap. Keep searching, Chris (Star Wars complete, at least for this week) (27 years ago, 21-Apr-99, to lugnet.loc.us.tx.aus)
