I have found them at the Target that Naji mentioned and at Wal Mart in Halls, Wal Mart at Knoxville Center Mall - and many more ... Also - If you go east on 640 and exit off onto I40 east exit off on the first exit - go left - there is a Kmart that (...) (25 years ago, 19-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.us.tn.knx)

Re: 2000 LEGO in Knoxville TN

(...) Well, they didn't look that bad, but they could have been better. The Slave 1 has some great pieces, but it could have used ~50 more. The sand barge was pitiful - there isn't even enough room to reenact the scene. (You couldn't fit Luke, Han, (...) (25 years ago, 16-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.us.tn.knx)

Re: 2000 LEGO in Knoxville TN

The Target at Downtown West has most all of the 2000 sets, notably missing only the two largest - King Leo's Castle and the Falcon. I really liked the new minifigs, but all of the sets looked a little juniorized to me. Naji (...) (25 years ago, 16-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.us.tn.knx, lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: We need to get together!

(...) I'm game. I bet John, Marcia & Naji, and Adam would be as well. There might even be more people I'm not thinking of right now. We could be K-LUG? (25 years ago, 29-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.us.tn.knx)

Re: We need to get together!

(...) The Knoxville club for Lego-friends ... I am beginning to think that we might actually have enough people to begin something on that note. That would be kind fun to organize something in the future - on a lower scale for now - and get together (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.us.tn.knx)

Re: We need to get together!

I must admit I am bery new to this Newsgroup thing - and new to the Knoxville area - moved here in July of this year. I came from Atlanta - where the Lego clubs were online with others around the world. I hope that I could join in if there ever was (...) (25 years ago, 29-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.us.tn.knx)

  Supercar appears in Knoxville

There is one (1) at the West Town Toys R Us. They also had a smaller "new" Technic set - a hopper of some sort I think. Good luck! Naji (25 years ago, 11-Sep-99, to lugnet.loc.us.tn.knx)

  Re: Auction Store?

(...) Doubt it, but who knows? Maybe we should rent some space on the strip and find out... (25 years ago, 27-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.us.tn.knx)

  Re: Auction Store?

Hi Mike, I wonder if the Knoxville market is large enough for a 'Brick Store'? Hmmm... Interesting idea. Adam (25 years ago, 27-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.us.tn.knx)

  Re: Auction Store?

(...) Believe it or not, I've considered doing something like this (for local people only - no way I'd do it on a website) since I am really only auctioning large lots and I normally price them at or close to what they sell for anyway, unless some (...)   Re: We need to get together!

Hi Mike, What's your wife's name? I assume her office is in the Stokely Management Building. I didn't have time to stop by today. I had to pay my tuition, buy books, get a parking permit, and then I looked for some part-time jobs at Student (...) (25 years ago, 16-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.us.tn.knx)

Re: We need to get together!

(...) Did that too. In fact, I probably worked in the labs during the same time as you did - Summer 94 through Summer 96. My wife's in charge of hiring people for the labs now, so I mentioned you might be dropping by. (25 years ago, 16-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.us.tn.knx)

Re: We need to get together!

I used to work for the Computer Labs when I was an undergrad. Around '94-'96. I worked in the library (ground floor), Andy Holt Apts, the Humanities bldg. lab, and that old lab on the hill next to the stadium. Good job as I recall. I'll have to go (...)   Re: Roll Call

(...) Hi Adam! Welcome to Knoxville! Sorry for the delay, I am not used to newgroups and have difficulty navigating all the spots.
