  Re: Moving to Columbia!

Somewhere around here I've got the "20 rules for northerners moving south"...Lived in New Jersey for 20 years, and went to college in the south, and love it here--even though it can get cold, your cars last a little longer because there is very (...)   Re: Moving to Columbia!

Well let me welcome you on down to the sunny south, take a good look at that Boston snow before you leave since you won't see much of that around these parts. Things to know: -All sodas are called Coke (this is a must if you enter Atlanta, GA) -you (...) (23 years ago, 31-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.us.sc.col, lugnet.loc.us.sc.gre, lugnet.loc.us.nc.cha)

There is no riding the fence on this one. If you'll (...) (23 years ago, 31-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.us.sc.col, lugnet.loc.us.sc.gre, lugnet.loc.us.nc.cha)

  Moving to Columbia!

Hey "Y'all" (did I say that right?) After 30(ish) years of living in/around Boston, I'm now headed South (yes, that's with a capital 'S'!) to be with a certain "special someone." [fluttering eyes and staring-off dreamily..] Migration to his turf (...) (23 years ago, 31-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.us.sc.col, lugnet.loc.us.sc.gre, lugnet.loc.us.nc.cha)

(...) its a shame Lego doesn't put these out as a bulk shop item. It would really sell well....(they have grey doors and windows!!) Another source for them is the Railroad Tractor Flatbed. It shares the same grey wagon plate. Benjamin Medinets (23 years ago, 30-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.us.nc)

(...) ... (...) I thought about this too. Since the wagon plates are two plates thick, I was going to try making some out of regular and technic gray plates (although the technic plate color probably wouldn't matter). I guess the difficult part is (...) (23 years ago, 30-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.us.nc)

Re: making train cars for the show

(...) I built a couple of club cars last night and realized that club cars have both the extra doors and the extra faucets to finish the middle cars. Since the difference between the 10001 and the K10001 is only $18.00, it makes buying more K10001s (...) (23 years ago, 30-Oct-01, to lugnet.loc.us.nc)

(...) I suspect we may wind up with a much too big Metroliner... I should wind up with a 6-8 car train. I may try and do some train building this weekend.
