Well let me welcome you on down to the sunny south, take a good look at that
Boston snow before you leave since you won't see much of that around these
parts.

Things to know:
-All sodas are called Coke (this is a must if you enter Atlanta, GA)
-you put both ice and sugar in your tea
-add "y'all" to your spell checker
-grits are good for you, and so are black eyed peas
-and learn to smile....alot :)

As for having LEGO people in SC, you've got some pretty good company there
just need to organize a bit. But you're more than welcome to do what a lot
of other Carolinian's do and come down and join us in the NGLTC for your
LEGO fix, and of course we have DixieLUG too.

Welcome to Dixie and enjoy the hospitality.

Hey "Y'all" (did I say that right?)

After 30(ish) years of living in/around Boston, I'm now headed South
(yes, that's with a capital 'S'!)  to be with a certain "special
someone." [fluttering eyes and staring-off dreamily..] Migration to
his turf lands me in Columbia, SC.

So! any tips for surviving the likely-to-ensue culture shock are welcome.
;-)  And any leads on cool jobs are even more welcome.

I really hope to find a bunch of others "like us" down there, as SC
is currently a big hole in the LUG map!! [1] So, if you're listening,
please write. I'll be there in December.
