1298 Advent Set Available @ Cary Target

Tuesday night I was in the Cary Target close to closing time and there was a palette of new LEGO boxes in one of the aisles. I noticed that one of them was labeled 1298 so I got a woman to open it for me. I went ahead and got it, it is a nice set. I (...)   Re: Get together

I am leaving for Sweden on 8/21 so that weekend is out for me. Not sure what the next weekend looks like yet. I know I will be away for the one after that (9/3-9/6). Mike - mike_walsh@mindspring.com Frank Filz wrote in message (...) (25 years ago, 13-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.us.nc.ral)

  Get together

I'd like to have another get together in the Triangle. I can host again, or we can go someplace new. The weekends of August 20-22 or August 27-29 would be ideal, but many week nights would work also. (25 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.us.nc.ral, lugnet.loc.us.nc.dur, lugnet.loc.us.nc)

  Re: Train Club Forming

(...) Let's give it another day or two, and then decide. If there is no current opposition from people in Charlotte, I'm reasonably game for NCLTC, otherwise I agree, RDULTC works.   Re: Train Club Forming

(...) I like NCLTC in case our friends in Charlotte (or wherever else) decide to join us. But if not, then I vote for RDULTC since that's the name of the airport. We should decide soon so we can put in our application for the train show.   Re: Clearance find at Durham Zany Brainy

You have to get on ZB's mailing list. They send out coupons periodically. Last weekend that same set was an additional 25% with the ZB coupon for 25% any clearance item. They had six or seven of those sets about two weeks ago, how many did they have (...) (25 years ago, 8-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.us.nc.dur, lugnet.loc.us.nc.ral)

Clearance find at Durham Zany Brainy

In my shopping trip today, I found 6977 Arachnoid Star Base on clearance for $50. I picked up two (main reason, for the quarter saucer bottoms). I just finished making a large water tower using the 4 saucer bottoms, plus 4 plain saucer tops from my (...) (25 years ago, 8-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.us.nc.dur, lugnet.loc.us.nc.ral)

25% off Lego sale at KB Toys outlet store

Don't know if this is national or not. The KB Toys outlet store in the outlet mall in Durham near the airport has 25% of all Lego. This is 25% off the already reduced prices! I cleaned them out of 8232 Chopper Force (reduced $17.99, sale at $13.49) (...) (25 years ago, 8-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.us.nc.dur, lugnet.loc.us.nc.ral, lugnet.market.shopping)

Several folks in the greater Raleigh area are discussing forming a Lego Train Club. This is an invitation to join in the discussion, and comment on names. I did not see the 4560 set in Sweden, only 4561. I'm not sure luggging a train set back would be very easy either! Those boxes are pretty large. I will take a look while I am there and let you know.
