Re: Next BayLUG Meeting / First BayLTC Meeting

---...--- (...) Umm, I thought it was March 12? (...) I'm all for it. (...) I will be bringing rolling stock, engines, and buildings. (...) I will resist the dark side! (...) This will be good practice for us. (...) Good ideas. Russell Clark (URL) (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf, lugnet.org.us.baylug)

Re: Next BayLUG Meeting / First BayLTC Meeting

(...) March 12, 1-5. But May 12 would probly be good too :-) Couldn't hurt to book it now! Seriously, it could be either the weekend of May 6 or 13 for the next one. (...) I have no problems with it. Let's hatch a club! It was my understanding that (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf, lugnet.org.us.baylug)

Next BayLUG Meeting / First BayLTC Meeting

I am somewhat confused now. Here is my current understanding: Sunday, May 12th from 1-5 pm we have a booking in the Fukaya room in Fremont. Is this correct? If so, I would like to make that the first meeting for the BayLTC, if there are no (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf, lugnet.org.us.baylug)

  Need some info

It's too quiet here in BayLug today. Can anyone clue me in to a book I'm interested in? I've heard there is a book about Legos given to architects in Europe and all of them are supposed to make whatever they want with the theme of a gate into (...)   Re: Newsgroups for LUGs?

(...) Yes, BayLTC is in discussion regarding the date of its first meeting, so as not to coincide with a BayLUG meet. This time it seems like it's going to be okay and relatively hassle-free, as two different folks are taking/took it upon themselves (...)   BayLUG Club Newsgroup

Hi All! In case you hadn't noticed, Todd Lehman has created lugnet.org.us.baylug, a newsgroup created specifically for our club. I'm unsure of it's future impact on this .loc group, but firmed meeting dates and major events should probably continue (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

I'm all the earlier two weekends in March for the next meeting. -Tom McD. [f-up set to lugnet.org.us.baylug] (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.org.us.baylug, lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

  Re: 8 Wide train hopper

(...) Disclaimer, this is not exactly mine, it's a reasonable facsimile that Mike put together by being very observant. I'm OK with that as long as it's disclaimed. :-) (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build, lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

  Re: 8 Wide train hopper

Bravo, Mike! {:^D You beat me to the punch-- I had intended to build an 8 wide version of Lar's Hopper as well! It looks great! Don't you think the proportions look a lot better? I especially like the way an 8 wide is wider than its trucks-- which (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build, lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

  8 Wide train hopper

I am assuming John Neal is completely interested in this: I have just finished my first 8 wide train car. It is an adaption of Larry P's custom hopper. I widened it to 8 studs, added 5 plates height to it and lengthened it quite a bit. I might need (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jan-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build, lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

Re: Trains and Re: Hold Everything!

Hey everyone, Since Mike seems fired up to go, maybe now is the time for the first Bayltc meeting. What about the Bayltc meeting then in Fremont, Fukaya Room, March 12, 1 - 5 pm, and the next Baylug meeting in Albany, TBA? All I need is another (...)   Re: Trains and Re: Hold Everything!

I would opt for Fremont over Albany, as it is an hour closer to me each way and I am already driving 3 1/2 - 4 hrs. each way as it is. I cannot yet transport the modules to San Jose for the next Baylug meeting dues to not yet having the racks made (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

  2000 sets in Pinole

  Trains and Re: Hold Everything!

(...) The only reason I thought that 10 - 5 was better was so that there was a wider spread of time for folks to drop in and out.   maybe a little bit off-topic....

......Hi there! Once again I am heading from Europe towards your nice city and ask myself the following questions: 1.)Are there good places inside San Fran to hunt for Lego Technic? 2.)Does public transport to Muire Woods exist? 3.)Is it a rumour, (...)   RE: Hold Everything!

(...) I'd guess "instead of", because we could only get the Fukaya room on a Sunday. The library is open only from 1 to 5 on Sundays. However...   Re: SFX?

Actually, a magnet and reed switch would be more reliable than a touch sensor. Or maybe use an optical sensor. I'm not into train cars and such, but I'd be happy to contribute some motorized RCX-controlled scenery. The RCX remote control makes it (...) (25 years ago, 12-Jan-00, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)
