I was looking forward to a verbal punch up with the Meccanoist's but if
their going to be reasonable about things, that takes away all the fun!! :-)
(I'm joking)

I like the idea of a combined front, but I'd love to be a fly on the wall of
their AGM when the die hards here of the proposed colabaration.

I can't actually see the need for a lot of communication between our two
factions. If we're to help them, I'd like to help them see that Lego Technic
will always be visually superior to Meccano but I doubt they'll ever admit it.

I've always been able to see both the merits and limitations of Meccano. It
would be nice though to get one over on the media types.

Ya that WOULD be funny, eh?... let the media stage a big "debate", make sure it's on live TV, and then have a love-in and refuse to disagree with anything the other side says, but instead make snide comments about the media...
