Lawrence,
we only have ourselves to blame. They will work out the costs based on how
much they think they will sell at any given price.

What costs?

Sorry - I meant the cost to us (ie the price)

They only have one cost for the whole for the EU. They come out the same warehouse, in the same packaging,
on the same web site.

No doubt, if the UK bought more Lego trains we may well get them a fraction cheaper.

Doesnt the law of supply and demand say that if we bought more they would put the price up?

Only if supply is fixed - it is not. Based on past sales, I expect supply to
the UK would be estimated and sets would be made to match.

If we bought BULK the price ought to come down, but they dont even offer a bulk discount.

It is the shipping cost which gets me hot & bothered. Even on high orders,
we still must pay £9.

I am just happy they are making these sets, rather than more like the 4560
style sets.

but not at any cost.
And not a premium over my EU cousins.

Perhaps we should join the Euro?

(no replies from telegraph readers please!)

Scott A

regards
lawrence
