You can also buy Star Wars LEGO from www.argos.co.uk, I have just found out, too. Huw Ian Bishop <ian@goodlife.demon.co.uk> wrote in message news:PT1K6DAo0qt3Ewt...n.co.uk... (...) (26 years ago, 15-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Beatties Mail Order Service

Not sure if this is widely known, but Beatties now operate a mail order service. A flyer and price list for it was given out in the 99 catalogues up here. If anyone wants to see it, I'll post it on my website. You can buy over the phone with credit (...) (26 years ago, 15-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  In-set catalogues this year

How many different in-set catalogues are there in UK sets this year? At the start of 1999, the new sets (Space Port, Adventurers) came with the 1998 in-set catalogue. 1. The Ep4-6 Star Wars came with a folded 2xA4 flyer with pilot Luke on the front. (...) (26 years ago, 13-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: 1857's, (remember those!), £7.85!!!!!!!!

I forgot to thank you, Richard. My local Tesco had 6 of the 1857s, so I took 4 of them. (950 pieces for £7.85 is such good value). I also noticed that they had 2 of the new road sign sets at £2.49 each, so I took those too. The blue Technic (...) (26 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: What loc group does Brighton fall in?

(...) There wasn't ever a Sussex group, but up until a couple weeks ago there were groups for Brighton, East Sussex and for Chichester, West Sussex. More details about the history of the UK newsgroup hierarchy: (3 URLs) (26 years ago, 12-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Really old sets

(...) Hi. The UK lugnet types mainly hang out in .loc.uk, which is where I've crossposted this (and set followups). Technically there (is|was- Todd?
