There must be more to it than that. I picked up the Technic Space Shuttle
(not a dumb down set) for an impressive £50 from Jenners... not a shop known
for its low prices. I think kids like other things these days.
I picked up lego two weeks ago via a Supermarket ad I had . The kids in the
house were aged 9 and 13.... and were sitting playing with their playstaion
as I handed over my cash to "dad".
I'm not sure what the answer is.

| (...) Have you noticed how much lego is being discounted in the UK these days. Obviously not being sold in the volumes expected. If I was a Lego executive, I would be getting pretty worried. It says a lot for the quality of the dumbed-down sets (...) (25 years ago, 10-Aug-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)
