Re: Report on the LEGO trains at Glenrothes

Thanks for the feedback on the train show. 1. The power adaptor is DC (I think) I got it for £1.99 from Netto's - the discount food retailer, but Argos have one 982/7253 page 75 at £5.99. They are essential for allowing children to run trains. 2. I (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Report on the LEGO trains at Glenrothes

(...) Unless you take a sharp knife and cut slivers of plastic from the wheel mounting blocks where the edges of the wheels rub, the Santa Fe will always be a disappointment when running. After 'surgery', my two locos (with one motor) and eight (...) (21 years ago, 7-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)

(...) Hello David, We're doing a similar thing for the St Wilfrid's Summer Fair on 28th June. Can you advise if your multi-voltage adapter is an AC-out unit ot a DC-out one? I've had the same experience with my Santa Fe - disapointing performance (...) (21 years ago, 6-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)

The "Golden Studs" promotion was a mail-in offer that ran in the UK from 1974 to 1976. Each set bought contained one or more Golden Studs stickers, dependant on value. In 1974, you would get 2 studs in sets selling for under a Pound, 4 studs in sets (...) (21 years ago, 6-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Report on the LEGO trains at Glenrothes

My layout had basically three concentric ovals of track with two trains per track and sidings and passing loops. Three children were able to operate the trains at once. As children only know two speeds fast forwards or fast backwards, I use a (...) (21 years ago, 4-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  lego in vogue

Not something most of you will have picked up on but in the UK June issue of Vogue on page 42 (or maybe 40) there is the lego art that appeared on the net a few weeks ago, 'the shark in formaldehyde' by Damian Hurst recreated in lego I think cost (...) (21 years ago, 3-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Re: Lego shopping in London?

(...) The obvious ones are the official LEGO shop at the Bluewater shopping centre to the east of the M25, or Legoland Windsor to the west. If you're without transport in the middle of London, you'll find Hamleys particularly expensive. I don't know (...) (21 years ago, 3-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)
