i have just purchased a rare set from the 70's which contained an unused
sticker sheet. the stickers are gold coloured with the following text.
"peel off these stickers stick them on the golden bricks shown on the back of
a lego leaflet to claim free gifts. valid until 1st january 1978."
it's in perfect condition and looks like new!
does anyone know anything about these or if they have any value?
By the way the set was 698 MIB with it's own unused sticker sheet - it's a
very rare japanese airlines promo set. so i was wondering if it is better to
leave the golden stickers with the set or to sell them seperately? - the set
is listed in my bricklink store.

| The "Golden Studs" promotion was a mail-in offer that ran in the UK from 1974 to 1976. Each set bought contained one or more Golden Studs stickers, dependant on value. In 1974, you would get 2 studs in sets selling for under a Pound, 4 studs in sets (...) (21 years ago, 6-Jun-03, to lugnet.loc.uk)
