  Re: Curating loc.uk

(...) I think I dropped the ball on this one... We were in the middle of formalizing (or planning the formalizing of) the curatorships, and up until then, the page stuff had been done in an ad-hoc way with a separate sign-in system (not based on the (...)   Lego train shgows in Scotand

I am taking part in two Lego train shows. These are shows where the children can operate the trains so they are chaotic and busy - everyone is amazed at how robust they are. Sat & Sun 1st & 2nd June at Glenrothes, Fife, in the Rothes Hall, this is (...) (23 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Proposal for an AFOL Event at LEGOLAND Windsor

(...) Maybe we should get together before the event somewhere like Thames valley to have a trial run. Set up the display and check that we have everything that we want. That way we can arrange the layout to see what looks best.So when we get to (...) (23 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Proposal for an AFOL Event at LEGOLAND Windsor

(...) Good for you guys :-) I suppose I'm used to the US where we're more spread out. I'm in Chicago, but on the west coast (I take at least one trip a year to hang out with AFOLs there) it is so spread out its difficult to get a large number of (...) (23 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

  Episode II Lego in UK

I've just been into Toys'R'Us in Southampton, and they've got all the Episode II models now. Yoda, Tusken Raiders, new Slave I, Gunship, Jango Fett and the Super Battle Droid (they've had Starfighters for a while now). They've also got a pile of (...)   Re: Lego Fest on Saturday

I think I introduced myself a while ago, but I haven't very active on this UK. loc board, so I should probably give some background info again. I'm a 24 year old history student (University of Sussex), and got back into lego properly just over a (...) (23 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Proposal for an AFOL Event at LEGOLAND Windsor

Suz, Thanks for pointing that out. Please will you clarify (here in the ng for all to see) if we are allowed to used the name LUGNET in any way? A suggestions might be: all attendees are likely to wear name badges, and those who are members of (...) (23 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)

Re: Proposal for an AFOL Event at LEGOLAND Windsor

(...) Don't worry - we hold a lot of meetings for the UK crowd anyway. I for one won't be bothered if this is purely a public show. It's no big deal for a lot of us to get together anytime. (...) I'd suggest you hold them as two separate events too (...) (23 years ago, 23-Apr-02, to lugnet.loc.uk)
