All y'all did a pretty crappy job of cleaning shelves, given how much
stock was still around the 3 stores I checked. ;] But I guess you can
only have so many Yoda's.
Today was a nice day for me, but bad news for my VISA card. Final stats
are 35 sets, 10418 pieces, $363, or 3.5c/pc. That's a full 13% increase
in my collection in one day! Would've had another 2000 pieces but I had
to abandon 2 4496 tubs for want of more arms...
For the truly curious/morbid/masochistic/geeky, my deals were:
4496 $15 Blue Tub
4028 $7.5 Blue Mini-tub
7194 $39.5 Yoda
4784 $8 Alpha Team Control Sub (nice price for those great parts!)
8362 $10 Ferrari Racer (wicked!)
7119 $2.5 Twin Pod Cloud Car (what a deal! Got 5, would've bought more,
but one can only have so many hairless minifigs!)
4476 $3.5 Jabba's Surprise (needed another green hog dude)
7113 $2.5 Tuskin Raiders
4477 $8 T-16 Sky Hoppers (more red pilots!)
4500 $15 Snowspeeder (can never have too many Snowspeedern!)
4743 $7.5 Alpha Team Ice Blade (what the heck, eh?)
7139 $4.5 Ewok Attack (perhaps the deal-of-the-day..., Stormtroopers,
Scout Troopers, and Ewoks at waaaaay under $1 each!)
I just wish that Zellers sold things like the AT-AT, Star Destroyer, etc...
I also wish that Ottawa wasn't cleaned out of 7201 Jedi Duel II, because
the Stormtroopers and Imperial Officers for $3 would've been niiiiiice!
And finally, I wish I hadn't bought all those new Star Wars sets a
few months ago at "only" 25-33% off...
