Even more annoying for you would be the fact that 800/888/877 are "toll
free" calls (the owner of the numbers pays for the long distance charges"
that don't work outside the US anyway.
If you live in the US, 800/888/877 numbers are free calls. If you don't
live in the US they don't work. This is why most US companies that do
international business list both a toll free 800/888/877 number and a direct
(read: toll) number.
