Hey guys,

Just got back from Parklea Markets. Was on the mission to purchase some nuts
and dried apricots, wehn i was going past a trader selling toys.
Using my super-human vision, I was able to spot the Lego symbol.

To cut it short.

This is what picked up:
4549 - Road 'N Rail Hauler
4547 - Metroliner Club Car
4551 - The Crocodile Locomotive

Boxes were opened, but all bags sealed and all stickers/pieces were there.

Yay :)

The trader there has one more 4551 for about $80 if anyone is interested.

Nice find.. you should definintely buy up the other croc, someone in Oz surely
will want it. Or if not, sell it for loads of cash on eBay...

In our small yet growing AFOL community we like to give each other tips on
what's about and first offer on it (the non-lurkers anyway).
Maybe it's the Lego situation in Australia, ie high retail prices, less of the
range available, less clearances and high freight charges/customs duties when
importing sets, not to mention the 'on-life-support' AU$ that foster this
attitude.

I'd rather get this for one of us Loc.Au people than going getting it and
putting it up for Auction etc.

Why? Not that someone won't want it locally, but why not sell it wherever?

Making money off their hobby isn't the primary aim of most AFOL's that I
converse with here. I know there are exceptions (but I don't know them well).
We all buy/try to buy off ebay etc. and I'm happy to do that, because that's
the only way to get certain things, but from what I hear too many sets have
sailed/flown away from these shores off to ebay world. If the Lego situation
here was better I probably wouldn't care as much (if my dark ages wasn't as
long as well).
Any hobby that has a decent number of adult enthusiasts will have a fair
cross-section of society within it. From the 'I have too many sets' people to
the 'I can't afford too many sets' people. I see too many kids dragged away
by parents from the Lego section, it's a pity it's not cheaper here.
I know Lugnet is a so-called 'family forum', so let's foster some so-called
'family values' of sharing/caring and less wheeling and dealing.
Let's focus on investing energy in fostering interest in this hobby, rather
than 'this is how you make the most money' attitude.
