Dear Peter and anyone else who is interested,
Yes Harris Scarfe is a South Australian chain, and here at least it is only a
dollar here or there more than other places.  However sets don't last long as
once a month or so they have up to 20% off everything... good time to make use
of DJs price matching policy if you don't want to queue.  Also, being the
replacement in the heads of SA toy buyers for our sadly mourned John Martins-
of-the-giant-have-everything-toy-department there is a pretty consistent turn
over of sets.

thanks Jane,
I have only been to two Harris Scarfes, one in Campbelltown in Sydney, where
thinks were pretty expensive eg. Gungan sub $150 (rrp $136). The range was
fairly standard for a DJ's/Grace Bros department store.
The other one was in the southern part of Geelong in a shopping complex next
to the Bachhus Marsh road, it had half a dozen 6036's and some Aquazone stuff,
a lot of 1995 stuff (well it did), the store was like a flashback to the 60's,
in layout and loudspeaker voice, overly loud, promoting merchandise.

Jane, do these sales have a rhyme or reason, first Monday of each month etc.?
Was John Martins a single store or chain ?
How are the independent Toyworlds/Toy Kingdoms shaping up ?
