  offtopic: UScentric Americans, why worry?

Guys guys guys! I'm not sure there's a lot to be gained here. The Americans rule the planet by weight of economic resources and the success of their economic/military model. Get used to it. That success has brought a bunch of real advantages for the (...) (25 years ago, 4-May-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  wanted: Lego catalogues

Appologies for the length of this, but I thought I'd list the catalogues I've got. If a catalogue doesn't have a number greater than 1 in the quantity column, or isn't listed, it means that I don't have a complete copy, and would like it. This (...) (25 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Sounds like the 'Lonestar steakhouses' [or something similar] over here, although they are designed to represent america's outback area [I think] [Due to possible censoring, I won't give my opinion of this :) ] Unfortunately, at least in my (...)   Model Tangara train

Hey guys. My latest project : a Lego Tangara train. Seeing them everyday made me think. These can be done, they're so "Lego-ish". So I drew one up on grid paper on the train home last night, and then hacked it into MLCad. But a fee issues arose that (...) (25 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)

Re: Pax Americana (was Re: Where did you lot spring from?)

(...) That's the root of my rant about Americanism--it's actually a hybrid culture that's gravitated towards the US because of economic power and demographic strength. The insidious part of Americanism is actually its functioning--its corporatist (...) (25 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Where did you lot spring from?)

(...) LOL! Ever noticed, even on LUGNET, that many of the non-native speakers of English use better grammer than quite a few Americans?   RE: Putting on a good show...

The following is a basic dat of the tractor/slasher model [not posted to .cad.whatever, as it is incomplete] I had to substitute a 2x4 plate for the 2x4 plate with pins, and a blue set of handlebars for the steering wheel. Also, I didn't put the (...) (25 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Here's the nitpick: the injunction against "bloody" has entirely to do with the British (primarily the English)--it doesn't offend any US-born Americans that I know. It's (...)
