  Re: TRU Heads-up

(...) I assume you're asking Paul as I wouldn't have a clue :) Either that or you're discretely pointing out that I was a fool to try and do it by phone when there were possibly easier methods! :) Live and learn. Deidre (the geographically (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: TRU Heads-up

(...) Thanks Paul, I _think_ I've got one from Northland but I do not recommend trying to order from this store by phone unless you have a lot of patience and are prepared to see the savings eroded in long distance phone call costs (I'll spare you (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: OT: P!$#ed of at ebay.com.au

(...) ...oh, I forgot to mention...the DIN paper sizes fully rule. :-) I just remembered the fouth dumbest thing: it's 12-hour clocks with a.m. and p.m. instead of 24-hour clocks -- especially digital alarm clocks.   Re: OT: P!$#ed of at ebay.com.au

(...) OK, the top dumbest thing is U.S. weights and measures (pounds, gallons, inches, feet, miles, etc.) rather than the metric system, which fully rules. And the third dumbest thing is U.S. paper sizes (Letter, Ledger, Statement, etc.) rather than (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.au, lugnet.loc.au)

Re: OT: P!$#ed of at ebay.com.au

(...) I'm annoyed by it too -- and I'm American! I think the American dating system (mm/dd/yyyy) are the second dumbest thing on the entire planet. dd/mm/yyyy makes so much more sense. --Todd (25 years ago, 5-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.au, lugnet.loc.au)

This is quite off-topic but does not apply to people outside of aus so I'm posting here. <begin rant> Does it annoy anyone else that ebay.com.AU is meant to be an Australian site but uses the American dating system mm/dd/yy rather than ours (...) (...) Richard, We changed the date for Kev, so why not for you. We could go back a day to Saturday 14th October, but this could put people out. Alternatively, we could go forward six days or seven days to the 21st or 22nd of October. I would vote (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Studfest 2000: Part the fifth

Afternoon guys and gals, I am undone. Keen as I am to be there Sunday week, steeped in wholesale carnage, it is going to be my god-daughter's birthday party that day. My offer of the barracks and chapel stands - I'll get them to Eli to bring along (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

That's a nice AT-ST Tim, I like it, although honestly, the feet seem a little odd. But you have more faith in TLC than I do, as I don't think the 'official' rendition is going to be as good as your model. (...) (25 years ago, 4-Oct-00, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.loc.au)
