Re: To Todd - Could we get .org.au up soon

(...) <grin> For starters, no reason to feel like a goose. And secondly - that would be lugnet.org.au - no ".loc" present whatsoever. That's how the US and Canadian org groups work (lugnet.org.us, lugnet.org.ca). And finally, go to sleep! :-) -Shiri (25 years ago, 20-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

In lugnet.loc.au, Santosh Bhat writes(badly): (...) No, actually we request a loc.org.au (misteak #1) (...) No,loc.org.au will be used for discussion (misteak #2) (...) Again, the group will remain as loc.org.au (misteak #3) (...) Ditto, (misteak (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: To Todd - Could we get .org.au up soon

Shiri, Thanks for pointing this out, Now I feel like a real goose. Apologies I'm on about three hours sleep here. I did intend to mean a loc.org.au and NOT loc.au.org I think I'll e-mail Todd seperately on this one. (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: LA gets it's honorable mention

(...) LOL! I'd say you're lucky in relation to one, and unlucky in the other. (Guess which is which) -Shiri (25 years ago, 20-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: To Todd - Could we get .org.au up soon

I think I'll butt in just right now. In lugnet.loc.au, Santosh Bhat writes a good explanation for creating an NG for Oz orgs. (...) Hmm. There was an issue that came up in the "market splitting" dicussion, and I think it is applicable here. If at (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

To Todd - Could we get .org.au up soon

Todd, Consider this to be as official or unofficial as you like, as chances are I'll just cut'n'paste an email to you from this if thats whats required. Recently the traffic on Lugnet under the loc.au groups have indicated that there's a significant (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

RE: New 2000.2 catalogue - sexism rules OK?

Well, that answers one question...whether the text was readable. As to the 'sexist' text....I'm not sure if this is correct, but from my own observation, boys seem to have a fascination for mechanical devices [including vehicles] and like to use (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

New 2000.2 catalogue - sexism rules OK?

Thanks Ben for scanning in the new catalogue. But are you sure it's not a 1950s catalogue? All this stuff about "boys" and "your son" makes it look like an archaeological find! :-( Think of all the 1950s feminists sitting round looking at this (...) (25 years ago, 20-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Aus 2000.2 catalogue scans

Thanks Benjamin :-) Yes, the action wheelers are Toolo, which I have to tell you my son will be mad about. He loves his Toolo, and these sets are pretty high tech looking compared to the old stuff. The new mean faces on the figs will really appeal. (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.general)

  RE: What's happening????????

(...) Well....They probably were telling you the truth...I know that the Toyworld in Craigieburn has stock 'ordered' by the lego rep, as do ALL Target stores [and others probably...But I only know these 2 for certain], so it wouldn't surprise me if (...)   RE: Aus 2000.2 catalogue scans

(...) new (...) The action wheelers appear to be a re-issue of toolo, but with light and sound as well [and a more stremlined design] It also looks as though the 'mybot' is an addition to this theme too, and not a seperate line. [I'll try and get (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.general)

(...) Thanks Ben, top job! Just one thing. What the heck are these Action Wheelers? Does this mean a new sub group in Lugnet??? Initial reaction is "Yucko!" Pete Callaway (25 years ago, 19-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.general)

  SA lagging again

I did the official store to store search today - not a single soccer set of any description to be located anywhere in South Australia. Has anyone heard when these mythical things are heading further west? I'd be grateful to get any info. I'm sure (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

"David Drew" wrote (...) Done. I'm not sure the actual allocation makes a whole heap of difference - provided the setup is appropriately mirrored on each side, it seems to me its fair.
