Thank Guys yes, there is a TRU here and they didn't have any
of the "new"
stuff, i found out from one employee that the lego rep places
their orders
and determines their stock. sound wierd i know, probibaly
yanking my chain.

Well....They probably were telling you the truth...I know that the Toyworld
in Craigieburn has stock 'ordered' by the lego rep, as do ALL Target stores
[and others probably...But I only know these 2 for certain], so it wouldn't
surprise me if that is what happens at TRU. Unfortunately, it's still the
store buyers who decide the initial range brought into Australia, I believe
:( [although LA has a large amount of input here, too] The reps basically go
to the stores, look at what is there and decide that the store needs x,y,
and z sets in whatever quantities [which is how the toyworlds etc. got
landed with so many 6975's, and why the Craigieburn toyworld had 39 6709's
[$3 each now]] Strangely enough, the reps are also the people who give
stores the ability to mark down set prices...by 'crediting' the stores for x
number of the set, which is how toyworld managed to have the large sets so
cheap recently. This also means that if a local store doesn't have the new
sets in when other stores do, it's a safe bet that the lego rep hasn't
bothered visiting recently. [Craigieburn toyworld only started getting this
years range about 3 weeks ago..5903,5904,7155 then, and a larger range last
week, including 'City'...shows LA's opinion of smaller stores.]
