RE: To all residents of perth

The adventurer sets are almost certainly 5903 and 5904...one is a 'microlight', and the other is a 'wheelbarrow' which DOES include a dinosaur..a baby T-rex [admittedly not as good as the big dino's, but it is still a dinosaur] Benjamin Whytcross (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

  Re: Any Themepary Layouts?

I will be doing that as soon as I can free up some time... At home, I have a newspaper article about a man in Ohio who created a Lego amusement park. He donated it to a children's museum, I think. Paul Sinasohn LUGNET Member 115 (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jun-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.au)

(...) I've made actual working rides, and at one time seriously contemplated building an amusement park, but then I started tearing the rides apart and that though left me. You can see the 3 rides that I created on my web page. There's a fourth (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jun-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.loc.au)

  Soccer buses

Evening all. Having just had a bit of a fool with one of the soccer buses, I echo the support for them that I have read around the place. Its a good, non-juniorised set, plenty of window, figs, hair, plates, and at $20, pretty good value. Timmy (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

RE: Soccer sets in David Jones! ($54.95 for 3409!!!!!!)

I think this is a case of 'we put the sets in the catalogue...kids will expect to see them...price is too high...if we drop the price on these, maybe kids will return to lego, as it's now "cheaper" to buy, and these will act as starter sets for kids (...)   Re: Soccer sets in David Jones! ($54.95 for 3409!!!!!!)

Why is Lego subsidising these? (Olympics perhaps?) and more importantly. HOW is Lego Australia susbsidising this? I don't think the shipping out here can be subsisdised by suddenly manufacturing it themselves. And why then isn't everything (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Re: Soccer sets in David Jones! ($54.95 for 3409!!!!!!)

Mmmmm. Toyworld Bowral, renowned for early release but RRP, also has them, 3409 at $59. This makes much more sense than the $115 I seem to recall we originally expected. And at $20 for the buses, that doesn't seem so bad either. I should be able to (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

RE: Soccer sets in David Jones! ($54.95 for 3409!!!!!!)

I was just thinking [and it hurts :) ] that I seem to remember someone posting in .loc.au that LA was going to 'subsidise' the soccer field 3409 so it would be about $55-$60. Unfortunately, I must have deleted that email [for those who still don't (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)
