This reply will probably sound much more snotty than I intend it to, so my most humble apologies in advance. I mean this as a serious commentary. (...) If they are new then, shouldn't they *definitely* be in the catalog? Isn't that the whole reason (...) (23 years ago, 23-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) I don't think that is the case. If anything, they may be too new to be in the catalog. I just started seeing them in stores a short while ago, and most stores near me still carry the whole line. Henry (23 years ago, 23-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) Ah... my mistake and my apologies. I made the assumption that because this thread started with a comment on the recent Shop At Home catalog that the dinosaurs were the ones in that book.   Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) I think Frank is referring to sets 7000-7003, the "young" dinosaur series. Other than the heads and tails, the bulk of the body is made up of bricks, mostly slope pieces. Henry (23 years ago, 23-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) What Frank is talking about are the smaller Dinosaurs sets- (URL) mostly have bricks with a few dino specific pieces thrown in (like the neck, head and tail). Hope that helps, ~Nathan (23 years ago, 23-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

(...) It wasn't in the catalog, but if you check online, you will find a few small dinosaurs made from bricks. One has some nice parts to it too. (...) This encourages creativity? How? That was the original question. Jonathan D. (23 years ago, 23-Aug-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

(...) Frank.... you must have gotten a different catalog than I did. I'm looking at the dinosaurs now and what I see are dinosaurs made out of LEGO pieces that are shaped to look like dinosaur parts.
