(...) Actually I'm quite surprised that the brick packs haven't sold out yet. Then again, the whole colour thing probably is a non-issue for your average customer. I've done my part - I got 100 x 10145 packs among others. Being a bit of a statistics (...) (20 years ago, 26-Aug-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

(...) Curses! Now I've got to buy more... (...) Not terribly different from what I personally would want. Dark grey plates I seem to have in quantity already-- it seems that from the late 90's to early 00's, these have shown up in droves. And light (...) (20 years ago, 26-Aug-04, to lugnet.lego)

(...) WHEW! Thanks for the update Jake! I've only been able to buy a measly 25 bags of dark grey bricks(I put my money into BrickFest). Thank goodness the opportunity to buy is still there :-) Adr. Adr. (20 years ago, 26-Aug-04, to lugnet.lego)

(...) This is bittersweet news. Sweet because I can still buy basic pieces in the old beloved colors. Bitter because if there are plenty left over, then the AFOL community wasn't really as excited about buying these packs as I thought it was. I (...) (20 years ago, 27-Aug-04, to lugnet.lego)

(...) Hunh. How many of these were produced? I recall the number 10,000 of each SKU, but I don't recall if that was official or not. I think I qualify as having done my bit, though; I just checked through my order history and I've ordered a hint (...) (20 years ago, 28-Aug-04, to lugnet.lego)

(...) Wow, I've read a few very quick and IMHO badly founded conclusions in the answers to this post, so I feel the need to share the wider picture with you. I must point out that, at least in Europe, there was a highly competitive alternative (...) (20 years ago, 28-Aug-04, to lugnet.lego, FTX)

(...) It's not that we are not interested, but probably like most LEGO buyers we try to get the most bang (err, brick) for the buck. S@H is rarely the cheapest source for new LEGO bricks, We bought 20 (packed) cups of light gray last May from PAB (...) (20 years ago, 30-Aug-04, to lugnet.lego)

(...) Heh, if only I lived in Europe! In the US, there's only the 1 LegoLand, and it's not terribly drive-to-able for everyone (especially those on the east coast, which I think is more densly populated). There's also a smattering of Pick-A-Brick (...) (20 years ago, 30-Aug-04, to lugnet.lego)
