Honestly Larry, why is it useful to discuss this? You often make all kinds
of appeals to authority on all kinds of subjects -- but to what end in fact?
"Extrapolating from insufficient data" is all well and good, but that simple
qualifier sinks your ship doesn't it? I am not saying that I know, but I do
know that you don't know either.
> We have no idea in this case what the actual deal is.
My point exactly. Why is pointing up this fact a potshot when you are
admitting it up front? I was finding it refreshing that you were qualifying
your statements at all.
My only point is: we are NOT in the loop, we do NOT have access to complete
information. We assert much and achieve very little with these discussions.
If they make it available at a fair price -- we buy. That's about it...
I am not amused that people lost their jobs -- it's a bloody shame. I AM
amused by TLC's apparent shotgun strategy to growing their brand name. They
seem to be aiming everywhere but "on target." When they learn to shoot
straight, perhaps their profits will increase.
And before you go off on me about how little I know, or how comparitively
more you know -- save it! I wanted chrome castle sets in the U.S. and I got
them -- you seemed to have all kinds of erroneous views on that subject. I
can no longer stomach your mere assertions masquerading as facts any longer.
You admit that you don't know, that you are guessing, that you suffer under
the constraint of "insufficient data" -- I take you at your word.
Now, what more precisely do you have to say?
-- Richard
