Re: HP Set Color/Design Choices (was: Second Harry Potter Movie Trailer Released)

(...) Maybe the license was under condition that a certain percentage of it to be changed from the original say 20% or so. Maybe it was cheaper to do it like this too? I am not sure, I do not know... any reason is possible though. Maybe it might (...) (23 years ago, 2-Jul-01, to lugnet.harrypotter)

HP Set Color/Design Choices (was: Second Harry Potter Movie Trailer Released)

(...) I tried to point you to the thread where I brought this up before, but here is a link right to the Creator box art as was discussed there: (URL) see the non-detail pictures from 1000steine from the "First True Harry Potter Pics!" threads: (URL) (...) Well I dunno, I'm looking at this page: (URL) the detail pics of 4704 and 4706, and I see minifigs in shirt/tie/sweater with school badge. I agree the capes look pretty dumb, but I (...)   Re: 100th message in this thread

(...) I'm also not inclined to worry that there's a cardboard backdrop in a set. It's been done before, and I doubt it adds much to the cost of the set. If it makes the set that much more desirable for the targeted market, and therefore more (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jul-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.castle)

Re: 100th message in this thread

(...) That appears to be part of the page design. I'd say that 50% of th volume of 4721-3 is the cardboard backdrop, but that is only those three sets, and the parts in those make me drool a flood. :D Jeff (23 years ago, 1-Jul-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.castle)

Re: 100th message in this thread

(...) Hardly half. Unless something isn't pictured, 4701, 4702, 4704, 4705, 4706, and 4708 have no large cardboard/plastic/whatever pieces. 4707 has a large piece used to fold up to a conical roof, which makes up maybe 15% of the total volume, if (...) (...) I noticed it, but not having read the books (nor do I plan to), I had no idea what it was. :) A baby dragon would be really cool, though. :) Jeff (23 years ago, 30-Jun-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.castle)

Re: Second Harry Potter Movie Trailer Released

(...) No, no, no, no, no...the minifigs! The costumes in the movie look GREAT...just like they should. But the minifigs look NOTHING like the movie...look at 'em! Monotone grey torso, hips and legs.   Second Harry Potter Movie Trailer Released

(...) I can't really see TLC producing a set with an 8x8 chessboard, especially not one in the right scale. And with 32 chessmen. What's dumb is they didn't include the potion-test room in the final confrontation set. That would have given them a (...) (23 years ago, 29-Jun-01, to lugnet.harrypotter, lugnet.castle)
