It's been pointed out that a few initial FS and WTB posts are beginning to
show up in the new themed groups, for example:
http://www.lugnet.com/pirates/?n=5
http://www.lugnet.com/technic/?n=6
Though these types of posts are indeed annoying, it should be noted that new
groups often:
a) attract a few more people out of lurking, and
b) attract a few more people out of thin air (total newbies), and
c) cause a certain euphoria and trigger-happiness for a couple of weeks
(even among old-hats) while a group's personality develops.
So, in other words, a few misplaced postings are to be expected.
Let's all do our part to (gently) remind people, as appropriate, that the
new themed groups are for discussions rather than targeted classified ads,
the latter being what the .market.* hierarchy is for.
Thanks,
--Todd
