When I was routinely buying on BrickLink, there was a certain seller that had
great prices but their Lego sets reeked of smoke. As soon as the plastic bag
was opened, it was almost overwhelming. Every time, I had to take a dryer sheet
and put in the sealed baggie for at least a couple of weeks. That seemed to
take care of the problem. Then I left the dryer sheet in the bag for long term
storage for overkill purposes and the smoke was kept at bay.
