Over 70 LEGO products copied —Erik Bush
Hey All, Did anyone hear about all the "copies" of lego products? TLC posted this on the 14th (URL) This article tells about many of the "copies" that other companies makes. There is one with a picture on the Lego website (at the link above) that is (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jan-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Over 70 LEGO products copied —Mark Tarrabain
(...) I noticed this article last week, and it actually got me wondering... What does toy product "The Brick" do that LEGO finds offensive, exactly? What do they do that MegaBloks does not? >> Mark (20 years ago, 21-Jan-04, to lugnet.general)

Re: Over 70 LEGO products copied —James Stacey
the 'Brick' brand produce (very inferior) copies of official sets. They use the same graphics as the official products (badly digitally altered to represent the limitations of their molds) I've seen them in real life, the quality is atrocious, the (...)          Re: Over 70 LEGO products copied —Dave Schuler
(...) James has already touched on this issue, but I thought I’d add my $.02. The main problem with “The Brick” is that the company produces and sells inferior quality bricks in sets that very closely mirror the copyrighted designs of true LEGO (...)          Re: Over 70 LEGO products copied —Dave Schuler
(...) Heehee. On the contrary, LEGO is moving closer to clone colors (cloning the clone, in essence, as LEGO did previously with the 8x8 plate). A certain LUGNETter-at-large put together an interesting examination of the color issue, which I cite (...) (20 years ago, 21-Jan-04, to lugnet.off-topic.clone-brands, lugnet.general)

(...) (snip) A year ago I was on a 6-month assignment in Shanghai.          Re: Over 70 LEGO products copied —David Laswell
(...) Of course it is. Getting the products pulled from HKTF doesn't mean anything if the stores still buy them from the supplier.    (...) Err - did my post from yesterday get pulled, or just lost? I was wondering what the problem with the "Best-Lock" JCB was - I've seen them in the UK, and they don't appear to clone either a specific Lego set or recent elements. It has a lot of (...)
