Hey All,

Did anyone hear about all the "copies" of lego products?  TLC posted this on the
14th http://www.lego.com/eng/info/default.asp?page=pressdetail

This article tells about many of the "copies" that other companies makes.  There
is one with a picture on the Lego website (at the link above) that is a very
interesting looking chess game with the same basic Lego logo except for it
saying "CHESS" rather than "LEGO" on the corner of the box.

A quote from the article:

(Says Henrik G. Jacobsen of Legal Department: ”It’s not that easy to keep a low
profile anymore. As soon as we enter the room, we are spotted by runners, who
immediately start spreading the rumor about our presence. Although our
cooperation with the board of the toy fair was very successful and we removed
many copy products. We handed in 16 complaints to the board, and by working
together we succeeded in removing about 70 copy products.")

Very interesting isn't it!

One day I went to a big grocery store I'd never been to before, and while I was browsing the toy aisles, I saw something that astonished me: knock-off LEGO sets! It was knock-offs of (...) (...) Err - did my post from yesterday get pulled, or just lost? I was wondering what the problem with the "Best-Lock" JCB was - I've seen them in the UK, and they don't appear to clone either a specific Lego set or recent elements. It has a lot of (...)
