It's not only unethical. It's illegal.
It's called shoplifting.
A while back, where I live, there was a hullabaloo about people who were
abusing store return policies, by knowingly buying products with intent
to return them later. It centered around the buying of clothes that
people would wear once or twice, then retag them and return them, but
the principle is exactly the same no matter what the product. What this
person is proposing is exactly the same.
BTW, the stores return policy is offered as a _CONVENIENCE_ for the
customer. If enough abuse that convenience, you can bet anything that
they'd no longer be willing to offer it.
