I saw this on ebay.co.uk ... (URL) thought this was against the 'acceptable use' policy? Or have I missed something? Colin (22 years ago, 25-May-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: *NEW* LEGO brick-ish Transformers by Hasbro -- What's the deal?

(...) Because Hasbro's attempt to outright _BUY_ The LEGO Company was turned down. Hasbro doesn't typically cooperate with other companies unless it involves a purchase price.   *NEW* LEGO brick-ish Transformers by Hasbro -- What's the deal?

Hello all, Well I was just doing a quick read of online news. I had not been to www.allspark.com, a Transformers fan site, recently so I brought up the page. After scrolling down I stumbled across this header: Wave 5 Product Catalog Scans - May 22 (...)   Curious - Image not Mod'd

Does anyone think there could be something wrong with this image: (URL) been almost 3 days and it's yet to be mod'd. I made the image largish on purpose because the words become difficult to read if its any smaller. The image is 800x1200. But I (...) (22 years ago, 24-May-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: The way we were: January, 1994

(...) Interesting topic. (...) ... (...) I think I first posted to rtl in 1995, although possibly 1996. (Would that mean I should have a mastadon icon?) That was my first realization that I was not alone in my hobby. I was fascinated that so many (...) (22 years ago, 22-May-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Direct link

Thanks Tobbe! They'll send me a tape once the show has aired. My boss said he could burn a DVD for me when I get the tape. I'll be looking into a way to get the spot put on a CD. Then I can upload it to my website! Dave "Tobbe Arnesson" (...) (22 years ago, 22-May-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.mediawatch)

The way we were: January, 1994

I just read through the first month of postings to rec.toys.lego (January 1994) and was amused and impressed by some of the things I read. There were many "firsts" of discussions that seem to be ongoing up to the present. I thought it might be (...) (22 years ago, 22-May-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Virus Email

That is becoming very common these days. I get 3 or four a day in my old yahoo account, and with a size of more then 200 kilobites, they aren't easy on the email account either. Ugg, sometimes I just want to close my ears and scream... -JHK (...) (...) (22 years ago, 21-May-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Virus Email

(...) Take a pill. I'm not up on spam technology but I would be very surprised if clickable had much to do with it. Harvesting addresses would hardly be profitable if a person literally had to take the time to click on each one. One could imagine (...) (22 years ago, 21-May-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Virus Email

Even if they're not clickable, they can be harvested. They just need to be in the format of email addresses. I wouldn't be surprised if someone wrote a bot to scrape up "name at address dot com" too. But, for now that's safe. -Tim (...) (22 years ago, 21-May-03, to lugnet.general)
