Interesting topic.

I propose these people have a dinosaur icon next to their names in the
web-interface when they post from now on (j/k). • ...
What else is significant on this list of
topics?  What happened in 1995 that really stood out, what about 1999?

I think I first posted to rtl in 1995, although possibly 1996.  (Would that
mean I should have a mastadon icon?)  That was my first realization that I
was not alone in my hobby.  I was fascinated that so many others were
nostalgic for the sets of our childhood the way I was.  The only concept
that was foreign to me was that of a Dark Age, as I never had one for Lego®.
However, I did fall into an internet dark age shortly after the Jessiman
Auczilla (it was for James, right?), and thus when I came back online it
took me about a year to discover that Lugnet had sprouted up.

Anyway...just thought this topic list from r.t.l might be entertaining.

Indeed.  Good times, and some conversations that should not be forgotten by
the community.  :)
