Thankfully, I am able to harvest the data automatically (don't ask!), but
there still remains an unhealthy amount of manual work in order to allocate
valid set numbers to every record in the database and also to weed out all
lots offering multiples of a single set or multiple sets. Then there's the
lots that didn't meet their reserve price and the ones where the seller has
provided the wrong set number....etc etc. I have developed a 3 stage (semi
automated) validation process which effectively purges the invalid entries
and highlights the suspicious and ambiguous. These are then individually
checked and verified or deleted, before the confirmed set number is added
and the record commited, to the MISBI Index.

| (...) So-- I have to ask-- BrickLink has (I assume) similar data, which theoretically would be easier to extract & sort. Any chance that their data might get incorporated into MISBI? Also, since it's in part manual, any chance that *used* sets could (...) (22 years ago, 16-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)
