You got me there...
I forgot to mention I meant minifig-scale animals. There is a much wider
choice of animals in the DUPLO range, even farm animals - I recognize that.

That DUPLO/EXPLORE turkey would probably be sumthin' like an ostrich in
minifig scale... :-P

Those Freestyle dogs, you mean? They too are too big :-(

Yup. And that would be a theme with incredible possibilities for expansion
and integration with other past themes: fit the farm in Castle, fit the farm
in Train, fit it outside a City... if there were a set for every specialized
building on a large farm, there could be what, some 20 of them? And if we
added the food processing plants, the farm vehicles, farm machinery... we're
looking at a theme that might present some 5 new sets a year for an entire
decade!
I just wonder what the response would be from the average city kid (the
majority of LEGO buyers): would they be interested in something they rarely
have *real* contact with? Perhaps TLC is too fearful of a negative response
in this chapter, thus delaying any such theme indefinately.

I'm looking for something in-between your two cow designs, something around
3-wide. That would be wider than a horse - and horses are already too "thin"
in LEGO, so...

I had seen this before, mate! (Cool site, BTW :-)
Nope, I don't get disturbed; I've seen real cows and pigs being killed. Now
*that* was disturbing.
(FTR, I love eating beef)

| (...) I can see it now! The LEGO Town theme returns in 2004 with the Farm subtheme. Finally minifig picthforks are produced again! And did you say you wanted cows? Then watch out for set 10043, The LEGO(R) Slaughterhouse(tm). It comes with twelve (...) (22 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.general)
