Re: Thoughts on 1999 sets —Todd Lehman
(...) I'm blown away by the speeder bikes and the snow speeder. Can't wait to get these! The landspeeder looks pretty small but at least it's 6 wide and not 4 wide. :) I wonder if there's room for Threepio and Artoo in the back? (...) I'm pretty (...)      Wow. wowwowowow. The Star Wars sets look really good, I think. The snow speeder is great. You know, those Insectiod 4x4 half-domes are starting to look a lot like Star Destroyer shield generators, don'tcha know. The speed bike set is a fantastic (...)       (...) If the rock elemental is made from bricks, it's very cool. If it's a new 'action figure', then it's acceptable. Now we just need tan 1x1 cylinder bricks, so we can make some bamboo. (...) (26 years ago, 3-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: Thoughts on 1999 sets —Fredrik Glöckner
(...) I take the view that the pieces are probably quite versatile. Lots of pieces seem to have some kind of ball joint coupling, which is kinda scarce in Technic at the moment. I'll be crossing fingers! :-) Fredrik (26 years ago, 31-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: Thoughts on 1999 sets —Matthew Miller
(...) Someone on RTL suggested that these are ZNAP, not real lego at all. I've not seen ZNAP, or even good pictures of ZNAP, so I can't tell. Thoughts? (26 years ago, 31-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: Thoughts on 1999 sets —Sarah Heacock
(...) I agree. Before I saw the "Technic" label on these pictures, I thought they looked like the Znap pictures I have seen as well. Sarah Heacock (26 years ago, 31-Oct-98, to lugnet.general)

Re: Thoughts on 1999 sets —Steve Bliss
(...) That would be very sad, if the licensing limitations go beyond the minifigs, and ship designs. But I think "elements" in this case is a general term, refering to "things identifiable as Star Wars". As opposed to "elements" meaning "LEGO bricks (...)
