Re: Design your own 1000 piece tub —Calum Tsang
(...) A great idea! My only wish is that it's for sale discounted, and available for $19.97 like the 4107 here in Canada where I can drive to my local Zellers and pick one up instead of paying $30 USD for it, then shipping, then waiting two weeks (...)         Re: Design your own 1000 piece tub —Allan Bedford
(...) Is the 4107 really available at Zellers stores in your area? Or is this wishful thinking? As far as I have seen in the London/Stratford/Kitchener area, they are only available at Toys 'R Us or Bricks & Blocks in St. Jacob's (formerly the (...)         Re: Design your own 1000 piece tub —Calum Tsang
(...) Uh, no, actually, my typo. But the $19.97 4107 is still available at Toys R Us. I got like six when they first went on sale, but AFAIK the sale is still on. But my complaint is really that I want to be able to drive to it and buy it after work (...) (22 years ago, 18-Dec-02, to lugnet.general)

Bulk brick pricing (WAS:Re: Design your own 1000 piece tub) —Allan Bedford
(...) Excellent. I'm going to be near one tonight... hoping they still have stock of these. (...) Agree 100%. So here's my question. In Toronto area Zellers stores, are you finding *any* tubs or buckets? The answer for this part of Ontario is a (...) (22 years ago, 18-Dec-02, to lugnet.general)

Re: Bulk brick pricing (WAS:Re: Design your own 1000 piece tub) —Calum Tsang
(...) Not me either. Zellers may have from time to time, but the only bucket I remember in any quantity was 4285, the Basic. That may have been up to two years ago even. There are assorted tubs in Walmart. I think I've seen the 4105 there and also (...) (22 years ago, 18-Dec-02, to lugnet.general)

Re: Design your own 1000 piece tub —Kevin Wilson
Calum Tsang wrote in message ... (...) old. (...) I really strongly disagree. Over 300 of the 1000 pieces are 1x1 bricks! I believe that is less than useful for people who build Big Stuff (1x4's! we need 1x4's!) and disappointing for kids too. If (...) (22 years ago, 18-Dec-02, to lugnet.general)

Re: Design your own 1000 piece tub —Calum Tsang
(...) Where else are you going to find 1000 pieces (regardless of shape or size) for $19.97 Canadian? Sure the distribution isn't ideal, but it's still a deal for most people. Plus, most of the purchasers of 4107 are normal families who will see it (...) (22 years ago, 18-Dec-02, to lugnet.general)

Re: Design your own 1000 piece tub —John P. Henderson
(...) I could not have said that better myself, Calum. The 3033 was a slightly better deal than the 4107. But regardless, any bucket o' bricks that offers 1000 or more pieces for around $20 is good for my collection. I too use 1x1s enough that I can (...) (22 years ago, 18-Dec-02, to lugnet.general)

Re: Design your own 1000 piece tub —Allan Bedford
(...) I have to agree with both you and Calum. At least from my point of view assorted buckets and tubs are a bit of a rarity these days in my part of the province. So when I personally see something like the 4107 I'm extremely grateful and (...) (22 years ago, 18-Dec-02, to lugnet.general)

Re: Design your own 1000 piece tub —Benjamin Medinets
(...) I agree totally about what's been said. The piece selection could have been a little bit better on the AFOL side, but I am remembering what Brad Justice said at Brickfest 2002 this year. He said that the 3033 tubs were discontinued because (...) (22 years ago, 18-Dec-02, to lugnet.general)
